
I’m sure we’ve all felt the contracted, tense feeling of stress, worry and fear, and hopefully the opposite which is an expanded, relaxed awareness. This relaxed, more spacious awareness is not only calming, which immediately benefits our health, but also leads to clearer more creative thinking. At the risk of sounding cliched, the quote by Einstein that a problem cannot be solved from the same level of mind that created it is certainly true. Worrying solves nothing…
This weeks video on Being Present explores this a little, not much talking or background this week, it’s mostly experiential as we go through a recap of the previous weeks as a meditation then into expanded awareness of our surroundings.
It never ceases to surprise me how easy it is to feel this sense of ease within just through the simple process of placing our attention on the space around us and slowly flowing this awareness out until we’re aware of the outside of our home, and even further afield if feeling adventurous! When we come back to our body in a particular way we can take this sense of ease into our day or evening.
